I am a musician at heart, and I love working with other musicians and artists. I studied classical guitar performance at Yale University from 2006 – 2010 and during that time I started to create publicity materials for some of my colleagues. By 2008 I had started a little business called Musician Designs that developed publicity materials for musicians, in particular, websites.
I have always enjoyed the visual arts, growing up I was exposed to a lot of art and photography as my grandmother and mother are both painters. I found graphic design a fun way to explore the visual arts and this has developed into a passion for photography. Digital photography is a wonderful combination of artistic intuition and technical skills. I have always had a knack with computers, so I was lucky to develop skills on editing software before I started getting serious about photography.
The challenge of capturing a musician’s passion and love is something that excites me. Apart from the technical aspects of a good image I aim to take a photo that communicates the artists character. Its funny what a series of 1’s and 0’s can do…
If you would like to work with me, I would love to hear from you.
